Laura Mercier

Laura Mercier VoxBox

You guys. I am the worst. Remember when I posted an Instagram picture of the Influenster VoxBox I got a while back? Probably not because it was so long ago... but I said a blog post would be coming later in the week and here we are however many months later and I am just now getting to it. I had a little video of my review but because I am so far behind on it anyways, I'll just do a written review.

Now I know you guys have heard me talk about Influenster before, but I was so excited when I got the best of the best boxes to date. It was the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion box; complete with their newest, full size, foundation and full size translucent powder.

This brand is near and dear to my heart as it was the first "big girl" brand of makeup I had really owned, besides the first time I went makeup shopping ever when I was fourteen. It was right before I got married and my mother and sisters-in-laws took me shopping. One of the main events was going into Sephora. Believe it or not, I had never been in a Sephora before. Most of my makeup was from the local grocery store or Walmart with the occasional thing or two from a department store.

When I went with my sisters in law they each had their favorite brand of makeup. One of them LOVED Laura Mercier and after looking at the different options I decided to go for that one. I left the store equipped with a whole new set of makeup, most of it being Laura Mercier. I ended up being super happy with my choice as their makeup has a nice matte finish, which I really like, and it felt good on my face.

So, needless to say, that was a huge part of why I was so excited to get this particular box, to review their newest foundation. I have really light skin so I got one of their lighter shades and I really liked it a lot. Their packaging is always high quality and I really liked that this one had a push-down spout. Haha, is that what it's called? I don't know, hopefully you know what I mean. But anyways, it's super nice because it gives you just the right amount without wasting and foundation and it keeps things cleaner I feel like. The foundation went on really well and dried quickly which is nice because sometimes if I'm in a hurry I want to put on the rest of my makeup quickly but I feel like I have to wait because my foundation hasn't fully set yet.

When it did dry it was a super matte finish, which as I said before I love. It was a great base for the rest of my makeup and I have always LOVED their translucent powder to set things. All in all, I was super happy with the end result. Thanks again to Influenster and Laura Mercier for the complimentary products.
