Carter turned 8 at the end of July, and I decided to throw him a space-themed birthday party to celebrate his love for all things space. His obsession with space and Star Wars is out of this world, so it was the perfect theme for his special day.
We hosted the party at my parents' house, which was the perfect venue for a galactic adventure. My parents have a fantastic playroom with a Millennium Falcon play area, complete with a TV. This made for the perfect viewing spot of Star Wars.
To make the party extra special, I decided to go all out with the decorations. I found some amazing space-themed decorations at incredibly affordable prices on Temu and SHEIN. The day before the party, I created a fun balloon arch using a variety of space-themed balloons. I also found some adorable blow-up spaceship balloons that added to the galactic atmosphere.
For the cake, I used a box cake mix and got creative with combining different colors to create a Mars-like appearance. I used a space cake topper kit to add some finishing touches, and the cake turned out even better than I had imagined.
The party was a huge success! Carter and his friends had a blast exploring the Millennium Falcon play area and watching Star Wars. I made homemade popcorn to keep everyone fueled, and I also filled goodie bags with fun space-themed items from SHEIN, including astronaut keychains, space stamps, paper glasses, and more.
Overall, Carter's 8th birthday party was a blast. The space theme was perfect, the decorations were out of this world, and Carter and his friends had a truly unforgettable time.
