Here's to the end of another semester! After this semester I have again felt that love from God that reminds me He has different things to teach us at different times in our lives, line upon line. This semester has really just thrown a ton of things together for me due to the things going on in my life, in the world, and the classes I have been taking. As I am nearing an end to my schooling due to getting my associates soon, this past semester I really got to pick whatever class I wanted to take. So, wanting to prepare myself more for the things I will actually be doing in life I took; The Family, Marriage, Parenting, and Child Development. Needless to say I got a lot of material and lessons in each class that really intertwined with each other. I really just want to share the resounding truths that I have come to know even more deeply from these classes and just from life in general lately. It amazes me how connected they each are. The main thing is that God loves each of His children unconditionally, His sons and His daughters. We were made to be different and we each have different roles and purposes here on earth as well as in the eternities. God loves us each the same, He loves us each equally, but Satan would like to confuse us to believe that to be able to love us equally we have to be able to have the option to choose to have the same roles and purposes as each other. This is false; this takes away what God so uniquely created about each of, those things that make us special. That is what is so neat about God's creations; man is not the same without the woman just as a woman is not the same without the man. His plan is perfect and I think that those things that make us different are what makes it so perfectly beautiful. In our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the men hold the priesthood. This is something that is so important to the way our church works and it is a very sacred thing. I feel this is one of those divine purposes God intended for men. For women, I feel one of the biggest purpose's is being able to bear children. I personally feel so blessed as a women being pregnant, having that blessing and ability to be able to bear children. I have felt such a strong confirmation through the course of being pregnant that being a mother is one of the greatest things I will ever do. There is something so special about being pregnant and all of the things that come along with it. It really isn't something that I can describe very well. Being able to feel a little life inside of me, knowing that within a matter of months I will be able to hold him in my arms is overwhelming. It has really been a testament of God's love for me and all of His women, for Him to entrust me with having one of His children. I know some women are unable to bear children, but that is what is so amazing, is that is only on this earth, at this time. We know that those who have not had the opportunity here on earth will be able to have that opportunity at another time. As I said before, I think it is so incredible that God created us so that a man and a woman have different roles, but they need each other, they are both crucial to God's plan. For me it all ties back together in The Family: A Proclamation To the World when it says:
"THE FIRST COMMANDMENT that God gave to Adam and Eve pertained to their potential for parenthood as husband and wife. We declare that God’s commandment for His children to multiply and replenish the earth remains in force...
By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners."
Of course we each as individuals have different things about us that make us unique and different as well. We each have different talents and abilities that are used to help build the kingdom of God. I just really wanted to share how grateful I am for these truths and for how it has all come together for me. We live in a time where it is so apparent Satan is trying to destroy not only the family by all of the confusion he is putting out into the world, but individuals as well, by trying to confuse them of their divine purposes, identity, and roles. I am just so grateful to know that each son and daughter is special to God and that He loves each of us the same even though we have different roles, talents, etc. We are each important to His plan and that He wants us to be able to make it back to Him with our families.
